Library

Welcome to the Ann Whitney Elementary Library information page:
While we are currently in our status of distance learning, many online book providers are offering free access to their e-book databases.  Please look through this attached list for any books you may be interested in reading while at home. Click Here

PRINT BOOKS AND AUDIO-VISUAL MATERIALS -
No username or password is needed to search for print books and audio-visual resources housed in the Ann Whitney Elementary (AWE) Library. The AWE Library database is combined with the Hamilton Junior High Library in the same search, so watch the location codes to know where each book is actually stored. Click the link below to access the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) for the AWE Library and the HJH Library.

More fun and fabulous websites to try:
Hear some of your favorite books read by famous movie and television stars! Storyline Online is so much fun & it is free!  Visit www.storylineonline.net

Story Time from Space is a project of the Global Space Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education foundation.  Books are sent to the International Space Station, and the astronauts there videotape themselves reading these books.  These videos are found under the heading "Story Time Videos" of this website.  Please visit www.storytimefromspace.com for more fun!

Check out the link below that the AR company has established to help students plan what they would like to read next! The AR Book Finder site is free! The AWE Library will not have every book listed on this site, but we do have many, many AR books to pick from. This website could be used as a planning tool for students wanting a book similar to another one they have previously read.
