📢 Attention HISD Parents and Guardians:
Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, a new Texas law will prohibit student use of cell phones, smartwatches, and earbuds/AirPods during the instructional day.
This law applies to all public schools across the state, including Hamilton ISD.
As we work through the details of this new requirement, we will be developing and communicating HISD’s local implementation plan to ensure a smooth transition for students, staff, and families.
We appreciate your support as we prepare for this important change. Stay tuned for additional updates.

Attention Hamilton High School Graduated Seniors:

The HISD Board of Trustees approved revisions to the 2025-2026 HISD Calendar at the board meeting yesterday.
This update:
Extends the school year through Wednesday with a half day on May 20th.
Made Friday, May 15th, a holiday.
This adjustment:
Gives us two additional banked days/minutes for flexibility during the year.
Allows for a less rushed and more organized end to the school year.
Maintain Graduation on Friday, May 22, and schedule Junior High Promotion on Thursday, May 21. (Will allow counselors/teachers more time to get grades and awards ready)
You can find a printable calendar here https://5il.co/3evra
