Mr. Slone, Ann Whitney Elementary principal, has inspired students and teachers alike during his eight years at HiSD. He has been a leader to his staff, and has kept his students laughing dressing up as the Grinch and Elf on the Shelf during Christmas, and being put in the hot seat during a mock trial for not giving enough time during recess. James Slone has submitted his retirement for the end of this year. His unwavering dedication to the well-being and success of students has left an indelible mark on the AWE community.
