Hamilton rolled past Axtell 24–3 in their Class 2A Division I quarterfinal rematch Friday in Waco, powered by a dominant defensive effort. After recovering an early fumble and scoring immediately, the Bulldogs built on their momentum with a touchdown pass from Carson Roberts to Colton Delagarza and a key interception by Devin Eanes. Hamilton shut down Axtell’s offense the rest of the way, securing the win and a trip to the state semifinals.
The Dogs will take on the West Texas Stinnett Comanches on Thursday, December 11th at 6 pm at Hawk Stadium in Iowa Park for the State Semi-Finals matchup.
There will be a pep rally at 8am at the HS Gym followed by a send off at 10:10 am. Classes at Hamilton ISD will dismiss at 1 pm to allow our students and staff to travel safely to the playoff game.
Classes will resume at regular time on Friday, December 12th at 7:45 am.
