Hamilton ISD News

Hamilton ISD received a bomb threat yesterday, October 27, 2026, prompting the district to evacuate campuses and release students as a precaution. After thorough searches by law enforcement, no threat was found, and the district has received an โ€œAll Clear.โ€

Timeline of Events

Out of an abundance of caution, Hamilton ISD first evacuated its elementary and junior high campuses and relocated students and staff to designated off-campus locations. Parents were asked to stay away from the campuses and wait for instructions on student pickup.

A short time later, Hamilton ISD released all students, including those at the high school, to go home. Junior high and high school students were released from the football field, and elementary students were released from the Baptist Church Youth building. Students with vehicles at the high school were released from the high school campus. Bus ridersโ€™ parents were asked to tell their childโ€™s teacher how the student would be getting home. Families were advised to be patient and expect lines during pickup.
