To finish out our Teacher Appreciation Week Flashback Friday we of course have to honor the "First Lady of 5th Grade," Mrs. Barbara Johnson. Mrs. Johnson has been teaching 56 years..which means she has taught up to three generations of Hamilton families! She is one of the Bulldogs biggest supporters and has carried on the "Bulldogs will Shine Tonight" tradition from Martin Schrank. She has taught respect and etiquette through her Titanic lesson which culminates in the Titanic dinner every year, as well as the right of passage that many remember, the "Me Books." She has a deep love for her students, her coworkers, friends and family, and her community. To a true Hamilton icon: thank you for teaching us that traditions matter and that once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog. We are so lucky to call you ours!

Some more of our favorite staff to roam the halls of Hamilton ISD. First we show some love to Lu Burks who has worked for thirty-one years up on the hill. Lu leads with heart and holds the line on accountability. She is part of the heart and soul of the OAP Directors these last few years and we appreciate her so much! Another Hamilton ISD staff is Mr. Terry Baize. Terry has been a fixture of the Ag Department, imparting his wisdom on several generations of Hamilton HS Students. Terry has led several students to victory in various FFA competitions and has instilled a love for agriculture that will reverberate for years to come. With deep gratitude for your years of service and your unwavering commitment to our students. The district won’t be the same without you! Wishing you nothing but relaxation and happiness in your retirement.

More Flashback Friday for Teacher Appreciation Week. This time we are honoring two legends at Hamilton ISD. We have "The Man, the Myth, the Legend" Tim Edins, our Band Director. Tim has taught a few generations music and that "cold is just a state of mind." Thank you Tim for everything you've done for our students! Then we have the incomparable, Mona Gloff! Mona graduated from Hamilton HS and everyone who has ever been coached, taught, or worked with Mona know that she truly has such a big heart for her students and colleagues. Although some may not agree with her "Running makes you a better person" philosophy, she won five state Cross Country Championships, and if you have heard her speak at a pep rally or two we all know she doesn't like to lose! Thank you both for all you have done for Hamilton ISD.
