Hamilton ISD is excited to welcome students and families to Meet the Teacher Night on Monday, August 11th! Ann Whitney Elementary will host their event from 5:00–6:00 PM, followed by Hamilton Junior High from 5:30–6:30 PM, and Hamilton High School from 6:00–7:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to meet teachers, tour classrooms, and get ready for a fantastic school year. We look forward to seeing you there!

In observance of Independence Day, all HISD offices will be closed on Thursday, July 3, and Friday, July 4, 2025.

Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, a new Texas law will prohibit student use of cell phones, smartwatches, and earbuds/AirPods during the instructional day.

This law applies to all public schools across the state, including Hamilton ISD.

As we work through the details of this new requirement, we will be developing and communicating HISD’s local implementation plan to ensure a smooth transition for students, staff, and families.

The HISD Board of Trustees approved revisions to the 2025-2026 HISD Calendar at the board meeting yesterday. This update: Extends the school year through Wednesday with a half day on May 20th. Made Friday, May 15th, a holiday. This adjustment: Gives us two additional banked days/minutes for flexibility during the year. Allows for a less rushed and more organized end to the school year. Maintain Graduation on Friday, May 22, and schedule Junior High Promotion on Thursday, May 21. JH Promotion Ceremony will be Thursday, May 15th at 7 pm and the Class of 2025 High School Graduation will be Friday, May 16th at 7 pm. Both will be held at the Chandler Craig Auditorium.
