HISD Weekly Calendar for the week of December 14-20 is a BUSY one! We have Christmas dress up themed days every day, basketball games, pep rally, and STATE championship game, plus the soup dinner and Christmas Concert on Thursday. There will be an early release at 1 pm on Wednesday, and a late start on Thursday at 10 am. Then an early release on Friday, December 19th before winter break.
Congratulations to our own First Grade Teacher Alayne Moore on obtaining her Masters of Education from Tarleton State University! You've done so much for your students at AWE, and we commend you on an amazing accomplishment!

Our students are collecting canned goods for United Care and warm items—blankets, hats, gloves, scarves, and coats—for Niki Warms the Cold. Donations can be dropped off at the high school through December 18th.

We know it’s going to be another exciting — and late — night supporting our Bulldogs, so students will be released at 1:00 PM on game day.

To help everyone recover from the long evening — especially our bus drivers who will be getting home late and starting early — classes will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday.
