Calling all Junior High students! Join us Tuesday, April 28th, from 2–3 PM behind the school for Kona Ice. This event is exclusively for our JH students to celebrate the end of STAAR testing and the start of summer. Proceeds benefit the school—come grab a treat!
It's another busy week for our students up on the hill! Today our Seniors will honor those special educators that have influenced them at the Shining Apple Awards at 2 pm at the Chandler Craig Auditorium, Early Voting for the School Board Trustee election ends Tuesday, April 28th, 4th & 5th grade will have a fun day on Thursday at Ag Day, students are out for a Bad Weather day Friday, May 1st., and our Regional Track athletes will be competing at Springtown this week. This Saturday, April 25th is the Annual Big Event at Hamilton Junior High! Students will help clean up the campuses from 9 am to 11 am and then there will be a Car Wash at the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Dept from 11 am to 1 pm to support the HJH Student Council. Service, suds, and school spirit—see you this Saturday!
It’s going to be a powerhouse week for the Bulldogs! 🐾 Tonight is the Pre-K & Kindergarten roundup at AWE. From STAAR testing and state-level FFA competitions to Senior Night on the diamond, there is a lot to keep track of.
Due to the renovations in the AWE and JH Libraries that will begin as soon as school ends, all books for AWE and JH are due April 23rd. This will give our staff time to inventory and pack up items before the EXCITING renovations this summer.
Testing season is just around the corner, and we want every student to feel like a "Masters Grade Level" Rockstar! 🌟 AWE & HJH campuses start testing tomorrow. It's a busy week up on the hill!! Our HS Lady Dogs & Bulldog Golf teams compete at Regional, FFA Teams are showing off their Ag Skills, STAAR Tests, baseball and softball, School to Scrubs on our HJH/HHS campuses on Wednesday, and Prom on Saturday, April 18th.

During this test, you may receive a notification on your mobile devices similar in appearance and tone to an AMBER Alert in addition local sirens may also be set off as well. Please be advised that this is only a test of the emergency alert system. No action is required from staff or students.
School operations will continue as normal, and it will be business as usual throughout the day. We simply want to ensure everyone is aware in advance to prevent any confusion or concern when the alert is received.

It's Spring time which means our students and staff are blossoming and going where the wind takes them. Bi-District OAP, Golf, Baseball, Softball, field trips, and don't forget we will have a Staff/Student Holiday on Friday, April 3rd and Monday, April 6th. Classes will resume at regular time on Tuesday, April 7th.

It's time for the Extraco Relays! Tomorrow Hamilton ISD will host the HS Extraco Relays and the JH Extraco Relays at Kooken Field. We appreciate all of the volunteers who help make these track meets possible! HS Track meet kicks off at 9 am with Field events and Running Finals at 11:30 am. JH Track Meet Field Events start at 3:30 pm with Running Finals at 5:30 pm.
Spring Picture Day will be coming up in the next few weeks! Please mark your calendars.
Welcome back!!! We hope everyone had a great Spring Break! This week is full of sports, Big Kahuna Delivery, the annual Extraco Relays Thursday, and the Big Kahuna party bus will make a stop on Friday. The Copper Garden will be at Hamilton HS during Break and WIN on Wednesday for tux fittings for Prom. We hope everyone has a wonderful week back!
