Electricity is back on! Thank you to everyone for your patience. We are back to teaching and learning at HISD! ¡La electricidad ha vuelto! Gracias a todos por su paciencia. ¡Estamos de regreso a enseñar y aprender en HISD!

The electricity is still off at the school We are planning on staying at school unless notified of a longer timeframe from the city. Currently, we are planning on serving lunch to the students at their regular time. Safety lights are on! Thankful for a great staff and amazing students for their flexibility! La electricidad todavía está cortada en la escuela. Estamos planeando quedarnos en la escuela a menos que la ciudad nos notifique un plazo más largo. Actualmente, estamos planeando servir el almuerzo a los estudiantes en su horario habitual. ¡Las luces de seguridad están encendidas! ¡Agradecido por un excelente personal y estudiantes increíbles por su flexibilidad!

We have lost power at the school and have received word it should be fixed soon. We will keep you posted. For the time being, we are waiting this out in hopes to continue our day. We wish you all the best of luck as you compete at Itasca today! You have been working hard all year, and we are confident that you will do your best. Remember to stay calm, focused, and positive. And most importantly, have fun!

HISD Weekly Calendar for December 3rd- 9th

Current HJH 6th and 7th Grade Students may be nominated for WINTER testing for admittance into the Gifted and Talented Program to begin in the Spring when school returns for the 2023-2024. These forms need to be returned by Monday, December 4, 2023 so testing can commence immediately and results can be returned. Parents or other community members may nominate students for consideration for the program by completing the form below or by submitting a paper observation form in the HJH office https://forms.gle/LVxzttwsD39HxsJn6

HJH will host a Winter Wonderland Dance on Thursday, December 7th from 6 pm - 8 pm. (The date changed due to a Basketball Tournament in Brownwood) Dress to impress in your favorite winter attire! Be comfortable and have fun!

Don't forget that this week we will have our Lunch with Loved ones! Bring a lunch or purchase one from the JH and come eat lunch with your kiddo!

HISD Weekly Calendar November 26-December 2nd

We would like to invite our students' families to join them for lunch in celebration of the holiday season. Wednesday, November 29th - 6th Graders & Families Thursday, November 30th - 7th Graders & Families Friday, December 1st - 8th Graders & Families Tickets are required if eating an HJH cafeteria meal. Tickets must be purchased in advance at $5 each. The tickets are available at the HJH office. Please limit guests to 3. We'll see you there!
